Dear Mr. Morley:

In your email regarding impact fees on restaurant and bar operations, you
indicated we needed to discuss the grease trap. Please call me regarding the
grease trap.
Also, in our meeting on the restaurant and Qar impact fees, you mentioned other
impact fees. Would you send me a list of such fees and required information so
that we can comply in a timely manner so we don't delay our certificate of
occupancy and opening. You mentioned a pluming fixture fee and we are aware of
the sewer and water impact fees. Does the City provide the calculations for the
City of Cocoa water impact fee and any County impact fees?

I have reviewed the plans and have one additional comment. The Fire
Department requested a Ships Ladder for the attic access. The specification that
the contractor submitted was for a Model 660 Retractable Ladder by Alaco. I
have visited the web site for Alaco and they do have a Ships Ladder that would
meet the Fire Departments requirements. It is a Model 380 - 80 degree Ships
Ladder (see attached). I can not write an approval letter until this requirement is
met. Additionally when can the Fire Department expect the fire alarm plans for

Dear Mr. Holmes,
Our records indicate that you are the qualifier for the above named business. You are hereby notified that City of
Cape Canaveral Code of Ordinances requires that no construction work be done on Sundays and specified
holidays. Continued work on these constitutes a violation of Code and will result in a Work
Sec. 34-154. Construction noise.
(a) The construction, erection, including excavation, demolition, alteration or repair of any building shall be
permitted only between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. These activities
shall be prohibited at all other times and also during all hours on New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas, except during urgent necessity in the interest of public health and safety,
and then only with a permit from the building official, which permit may be granted for a period not to exceed
three days or less while the emergency continues and which permit may be renewed for periods of three
days or less while the emergency continues. If the building official shall determine that the public health and
safety will not be impaired by the erection, demolition, alteration or repair of any building or the excavation of
streets and highways between the hours of 7:00 p.rn. and 7:00 a.m. and during all hours of the holidays
listed in this subsection and if he further determines that loss or inconvenience would result to any party in
interest, he may grant permission for such work to be done between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
and during all hours of the holidays listed in this subsection, upon application made at the time the permit for
the work is awarded or during the progress of the work.
(b) Home repairs by occupants or home additions by occupants that do not exceed 500 square feet shall
be excluded from this article.
(c) The building official is empowered to issue a stop work order for violation of this article and, upon
repeated occurrences, may revoke the building permit of the violator.
